Installation Instructions

for Engineered Flooring

For engineered flooring, we offer both T&G and Välinge 2G locking system, depending on customers’ requirements. The installation instructions for engineered flooring are listed below for your reference. Different products may require different ways of installation. Should there be any questions, please contact our sales or service teams.

• First plank, first row.

• Start in a left-hand corner of the room with the locking strip (groove) facing the room.

• Remember to leave a ca 10 mm gap between the wall (left) and the board.

• It is practical to adjust the gap between the long sides and the wall later, when three rows have been installed.

• Second plank, first row

• Place next floorboard tight to the short end of the first one in the corner.

• Then fold down with a single action movement. Make sure the long sides of the planks make a straight line. Complete the first row in the same way.

 

• At the end of the first row, put a distance ca 10 mm, to the wall and measure the length of the last plank to fit.

 

• Cut with a jig saw - hardwood turned down or with a hand saw with the hardwood visible.

 

• Second row

• First plank min length: half of full length panel.

• Put a distance against the wall.

• General

• Minimum distance between short ends of planks in parallel rows shall not be less than ca 2 times the width (W) of the panel mm.

• Second plank second row.

• Place the floorboard tight to the short end of the previous panel and fold down in a single action movement.

 

• After 2-3 rows.

• Adjust the distance to the front wall by placing distances ca 10 mm.

 

• Last row (and perhaps also first row).

• Minimum floorboard width 35 - 50 mm.

• Remember distance to wall ca 10 mm.

• Tip! Put a distance before measuring

• Cut the panels lengthwise.

• It is recommended, but not necessary to glue the short ends, even though the skirtings (wall bases) keep the (missing words).

• Joining length cut panels. First/last row(s).

• Glue the joint with white glue, put a weight over until the glue has hardened.
