At Sinomaple, we believe in sustainable development – satisfying the needs of today without compromising the environmental resources needed by future generations – thereby sensibly preserving nature’s capital.
We take responsibility for the environmental impact of our products, services and actions. Eighty percent of our laminate boards are made from recycled materials.
We endeavor to minimize the use of material and energy resources and apply the highest environment standards in all our production sites. Sinomaple engineered and laminate flooring manufactured after January 1, 2009 are California 93120 Phase 1 compliant for formaldehyde emissions and will meet Phase 2 compliant starting from January 1, 2010.
In addition to being compliant with China’s laws and regulations, our parent company Sino-Forest maintains an Environmental Management System (EMS) with policies and procedures designed to ensure responsible management of the ecological, environmental, social aspects of planting, manufacturing and trading operations. The system integrates plantation management with conservation of soil and water resources, the protection of biodiversity and natural habitats, and the assessment and improvement of environmental conditions.
